CECS Minors

To declare a CECS minor, you must:

  • Have a 2.5 minimum GPA (transfer students must wait until first semester grades are out)
  • Be fully declared in your major
  • You must be able to complete your major and the minor within 144 units (Timely Graduation Policy)
  • Have not filed for graduation or close to graduation as the CS minor typically takes 3 or 4 semesters to complete due to prerequisites
  • Show to be successful in the minor; Students are encouraged to compete one course in the minor before declaring
