Parkside Village

Parkside Village is located at the northwestern part of the university campus and is adjacent to a municipal park. Parkside Village provides housing with nine suite style buildings, each housing an average of 115 residents and one traditional style building (Parkside North) which houses 472 residents.

Parkside consists of nine two-story buildings with suite-style living spaces. Each building houses an average of 115 students. All the buildings are co-ed with self-contained, separate locked suites by gender (men, women, or open gender by need) located across from each other. Laundry facilities are located near the Parkside Dining Hall and at Parkside North for use by all Parkside residents. Parkside letter buildings (Buildings G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q) have air-conditioned common rooms. While bedrooms do not have air conditioning, each room comes with a ceiling fan.

The Parkside buildings are served by the Parkside Service Center, located in the Parkside Commons, which offers many services including mail distribution, resident support, and the checkout of games and equipment. The Parkside Commons also provides a large study area and community kitchen which may be used by residents during its open hours.

Parkside is also home to two of our thematic communities with Black & Pan-African Scholars House in Parkside H and First Generation House in Parkside M.

Parkside North is a four-story building and houses an average of 470 students. The building is air conditioned and has 3 elevators. Each floor is divided in sections that we call "pods" based on gender. There are 3 shared kitchens (located on the 2, 3, and 4 floor) for Parkside North residents to use as well as multiple study lounges, gaming room, and living rooms on each floor. Parkside North also has a courtyard and a roof top terrace. The laundry facility and multipurpose room is located on the first floor.

Parkside North is served by the front desk, located in the lobby, where Parkside North residents can check out games and equipment in addition to the Parkside Service Center where students can get additional equipment, resident support, and pickup mail.
