É«ÖÐÉ« Students Gain Leadership Insights at ¶Ù±ð±ô´Ç¾±³Ù³Ù±ð’s Future Accounting Leaders Summit
From October 24–26, a group of É«ÖÐÉ« College of Business students traveled to Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas, to attend . The three-day event was designed to inspire future accounting professionals by offering hands-on learning, professional networking, and exposure to ¶Ù±ð±ô´Ç¾±³Ù³Ù±ð’s values of leadership and community.
The Summit opened Friday with a plenary session introducing students to life at Deloitte, followed by dinner and a team-based game night. Saturday’s program included multiple breakout sessions, Leadership Hot Seat, Green Tank, and Recruiter Meet-Up, where students explored leadership challenges and career pathways. In the afternoon, guest speaker Rashaun Williams, Founder and CIO of Harbinger Sports & Guest Shark at ABC’s Shark Tank, shared his career journey and advice for young professionals. Students then joined Deloitte staff for a service project, building bikes for children in need, before ending the evening with a Fashion Show that demonstrated how to dress professionally and confidently within a budget.
The Summit concluded Sunday with final breakout sessions and presentations on ¶Ù±ð±ô´Ç¾±³Ù³Ù±ð’s sustainability initiatives. Students returned home energized by the experience, having built valuable connections with peers and Deloitte professionals while gaining deeper insight into the accounting profession.
