Research Talk: What Current Research Tells Us About Antisemitism and How to Combat It
The ɫɫ Jewish Studies Program is delighted to host a talk by Dr. Ayal Feinberg on Thursday, September 4th, at 7 pm, ath the Alpert JCC (3801 E. Willow St., Long Beach). His topic is “What Current Research Tells Us About Antisemitism and How to Combat It.”
In this talk, Dr. Ayal Feinberg explores what contemporary research reveals about the nature, prevalence, and drivers of antisemitism, as well as strategies for combating it. Drawing on empirical findings and historical context, he evaluates the effectiveness and limitations of current interventions, and outlines evidence-based approaches to strengthen future advocacy and policy responses in the face of growing threats to Jewish perseverance.
In 2023, Dr. Feinberg was named the Director of the Center for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights at Gratz College, where he is also an Associate Professor of Political Science and Antisemitism Studies. He’s served as a Quantitative Research Fellow at the ADL’s Center for Antisemitism Research, and his scholarly work was cited during the 2019 House Judiciary Committee’s hearing on Hate Crime and the Rise of White Nationalism. His work is utilized by practitioners and policymakers concerned with the insecurity of marginalized groups and the perseverance of the Jewish community.
