Overview of Dr. Haldipur’s Research:
Dr. Haldipur’s research explores inequality in the criminal justice system. Recent contributions have appeared in edited volumes, as well as academic journals such as Society, , Education Policy Analysis Archives, and Sociological Forum. His book, (NYU Press), draws from approximately three years of intensive ethnographic fieldwork in the South Bronx and examines the impact of aggressive policing tactics like “Stop, Question, and Frisk” on neighborhood residents. This book went on to receive the . Prior to ɫɫ, Dr. Haldipur also worked at a prisoner reentry organization, where he studied barriers to employment among formerly incarcerated men and women.
