Max Beach

Max Beach is a designer, educator, and founding partner of Linespace, a Los Angeles–based multidisciplinary design consultancy. With over two decades of professional experience, his practice spans product design, brand experience, environmental design, and exhibit development. At Linespace, Beach directs the studio’s 3D and visualization capabilities and has led projects ranging from recreational watercraft and electric vehicle charging systems to consumer electronics and branded environments. His work has supported clients such as AeroVironment, EVgo, and BTCPower in delivering solutions for global OEMs including Nissan, Toyota, Audi, and BMW. His portfolio also includes award-recognized in-flight entertainment systems, large-scale trade show environments for Kawasaki, and wayfinding programs for USC, UCLA, Kilroy, and Omni Hotels & Resorts. 

Since 2006, Beach has served as a lecturer in the Industrial Design program at California State University, Long Beach. He has taught a range of courses including Rapid Visualization, Advanced Form Study, and Senior Industrial Design Studio, where he mentors students in preparing for professional practice. He has also contributed to curriculum development, piloting advanced form design coursework and serving on the drawing curriculum committee to align instruction with evolving industry standards. In addition to his work at É«ÖÐÉ«, Beach has taught at Otis College of Art and Design, served as a guest lecturer at ArtCenter College of Design, and advised curriculum committees for Otis, É«ÖÐÉ«, and the Art Institute of Orange County. 

Beyond Linespace and academia, Beach pursues his personal creative practice through Trackswag, an online retail platform and art initiative that explores custom artwork, graphics, and design culture. He earned his BFA in Industrial Design from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and continues to balance professional practice, teaching, and personal art-making as integral parts of his design philosophy.
