Douglas Pace
Douglas Pace, Ph.D., is an associate professor of ecological physiology in the Department of Biological Sciences at Cal State, Long Beach.
Pace’s research focuses on the developmental physiology of marine invertebrates, with an emphasis on organismal physiology and biochemistry. Specific topics include organismal, human, and cellular physiology. As part of a public outreach project, he developed “The Secret Life of Sand Dollars” to explain the importance of marine organisms and changes in the environments in which they live and develop.
Pace holds a Ph.D. in biological sciences from the University of Southern California.
