Cal State Long Beach animation students placed second and fourth in the 20th annual competition to produce the best film in a 24-hour period. The competition was hosted by Cal State Long Beach and organized by Aubry Mintz, a professor in the School of Art. The results of the competition, which featured 300 teams from 86 schools in 17 countries, were reported in  and the Long Beach .  A story specifically about the team from Cal State Long Beach may be found on the university's website.
