A Thank You to Farmers and Merchants
The Black Scholars team would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Farmers and Merchants Bank for their continued support and partnership. Their generosity has played an important role in the growth and advancement of our program. Farmers and Merchants Bank has proudly served as a sponsor of the Black Alumni Scholarship Gala for the past six years, and their commitment has allowed us to host the annual fundraising event that which is filled with celebration, connection, and community.
Farmers and Merchants Bank take great pride in giving back through student education, which made their decision to support our programs and the scholarship especially meaningful. Their involvement brings a sense of honor and joy, knowing their efforts directly impact students and alumni. Beyond sponsoring the annual Black Alumni Scholarship Gala, Farmers and Merchants have also supported the Black Scholars team by participating in financial workshops. These workshops help college students develop financial wellness skills as they navigate an unfamiliar and important stage of their lives.
Several individuals from Farmers and Merchants Bank have made a significant impact through their leadership and dedication. Tiffany Roberts, Director of the Farmers and Merchants Bank Foundation, Karen Cortez, Foundation Coordinator, and Lamonte D. Lee, Vice President and Operations Manager, have each played a vital role in supporting our foundation. Their assistance with philanthropy, grants, and student engagement has helped increase attendance at financial workshops this past semester, giving students valuable opportunities to learn, ask questions, and gain confidence in their financial knowledge.
The Farmers and Merchants team not only provide students and staff with the opportunity to experience the joy and beauty of the Black Alumni Gala, but they also share that joy by witnessing the impact of their support. Their dedication has been a cornerstone of the Black Alumni Galas and a source of strength for the Black Scholars program.
