  • The East gym will open by 12:30 pm each day. Instructors will be in place at that time, but activity does not begin until 1:00pm.
  • The swim staff will be in place along the path supervising the walk to the East gym, however, it is still recommended for parents to walk younger campers all the way in, at least the first week.
  • Be advised, the walk in, depending on your walking speed, may take 8-10 minutes. If possible, make it a point to arrive between 12:25- 12:40 to walk up leisurely, maybe do a pre camp potty stop & apply sun screen.
  • If you are late in dropping your children off (parking at 12:55 or later) , it is your responsibility to walk them to the Camp office (PE- 21).  We will have staff available to walk them to the appropriate activity area.
  • If you plan to pick your children up from camp earlier than the 5 p.m. ending time, you will need to call the camp office at least one hour in advance, if possible. It is a large campus & we would want to gather your child(ren) and have them ready for you when you arrive.
  • You (or another adult you have authorized to pick up your child) will need to sign them out for the day.
  • Please arrange pick ups for the top of the hour (2pm, 3pm or 4pm) so that your child could be dropped off while groups are in transition.
  • Children who exhibit repetitive poor behavior will be subject to dismissal from the camp. A refund will not be given. Parents will be notified of problems and encouraged to assist the camp staff in resolving the problems.
  • If your child has special needs, (i.e. allergies, medication, behavior, instruction etc.) and/or has an IEP or Behavior Plan, please alert the camp staff  by email or in letter form in addition to noting it on the online application.

  • Parent Pick-up is on a rolling schedule starting at 4:40 pm to 5:00 p.m. NUGGETS, or our youngest group, will be ready to go at the pick up area nearest to the entry gates between 4:40- 4:45 pm. Prospectors will aim for being there at 4:45; Miners at 4:50 pm and Miners, our oldest group closer to 5 pm. These times are all estimated, as potty breaks, water breaks and many other factors may cause a group to be delayed a few minutes.
  • Please park and walk over so that you can sign out your youngster. Remember, our campers will only be released to a parent or authorized adult.
  • Please plan accordingly on your way over and allow for travel time & traffic.
  • If for any reason you are late for pick up, please call 49er Camp Office (562)985-4049.
