Recommendations to Increase Student Participation
found faculty were an important factor in increasing online response rates.
- Set a calendar reminder: Don’t miss the course evaluation deadline! Add it to your calendar to ensure ample time is allocated.
- Allocate Time: Start early and set aside 10 minutes for submissions at the end of class - it's confidential!
- Show this 2-minute Instructional Video: Play "" during class to guide students through the evaluation process.
- Share: Share an example of adjustments you have made based on student feedback.
- Monitor Response Rates: Track your course response rates. Watch "" for more information.
Research has shown that there is not a significant difference in mean scores between administering online rather than paper (Dommeyer, et al., 2004; 10.1080/02602930410001689171; Edgar & Tobias, 2017, 10.1007/s11162-017-9452-4)
