Accreditation
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree programs at California State University Long Beach are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791. The newly developed Doctor of Nursing Practice program is pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and will undertake its accreditation review in October 2025. Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.

Notification to Nursing Students: Professional Licensure and Certification in other States or Territories:
CSU programs for professions that require licensure or certification are intended to prepare the student to meet California licensure and certification requirements. Admission into programs that require licensure or certification does not guarantee that students will obtain a license or certification.
We have not determined whether its programs meet the requirements of other state licensure or certification requirements. The BSN program at CSU Long Beach prepares you to take the NCLEX-RN exam in the State of California. All our graduate programs meet the standards for graduates to be eligible for a variety of national certifications from multiple organizations.
