The Laura Kingsford CNSM Student Research Symposium is Friday, October 16, 2026 from 11:00am-1:00pm in the LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid on campus.
Deadlines
- Friday, September 25 by 11:59pm:
- Presenter registration is due.
- Friday, October 2 by 11:59pm:
- Abstract and poster file submission is due.
- Mentor approval email to Cheyanne.Ramon@csulb.edu is due.
Forms and Approvals
The following items are required to participate as a presenter in the Laura Kingsford CNSM Student Research Symposium:
- - Deadline: Friday, 9/25 by 11:59pm
- If you are planning to present one abstract in a group, only one group member needs to submit the registration form.
- - Deadline: Friday, 10/2 by 11:59pm
- Faculty Mentor Approval (via email from faculty mentor to Cheyanne.Ramon@csulb.edu) - Deadline: Friday, 10/2 by 11:59pm
Important Steps for Presenters
Please complete all of the following steps:
- Complete the .
- Review the Abstract Submission Guidelines. Only complete abstracts will be accepted. Pay close attention to formatting the abstract correctly and completely.
- Review the Poster Submission Guidelines.
- Submit your abstract and poster via by the deadline. The abstract and poster must be approved by your mentor/advisor.
- The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is covering the cost of poster printing for this year's symposium. Your poster must be submitted by the deadline. If you miss the file submission deadline, you are responsible for the printing of your own poster.
- Your faculty mentor must also send an email to Cheyanne Ramon (Cheyanne.Ramon@csulb.edu) to confirm that they approve of your abstract AND poster. If approvals are not received by the deadline, you will forfeit your spot in the symposium.
