About the CIO

As Interim Vice President and Chief Information Officer (VP&CIO) at California State University, Long Beach (É«ÖÐÉ«), Bryon provides strategic leadership for the Division of Information Technology (DoIT), guiding the selection, deployment, and governance of campus technologies. He has played a key role in advancing a unified IT service model, consolidating previously decentralized support structures to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and institutional alignment.

Previously, Bryon oversaw project and service management, technical support services, and business operations, ensuring effective and reliable technology services across all non-college divisions. His leadership has driven several major campus-wide initiatives, including the implementation of an IT Governance Framework, the introduction of a revised cost model for voice and data services, and the deployment of Microsoft Teams Phone.

A É«ÖÐÉ« alumnus, Bryon holds an MBA in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) at California State University, Fresno.
