Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes unexpected challenges can make it difficult to focus on school. É«ÖÐÉ« CARES is here to support you during times of crisis by helping you navigate difficult circumstances, connect with resources, and develop a plan to move forward.


Our Crisis Assistance Services Can Help With:

Post-Hospitalization Support

Returning to classes after a medical or mental health hospitalization can feel overwhelming. We can help you navigate your transition back to campus and connect you with the support you need. Check out our campus reconnection toolkit if you are experiencing or recently experienced a hospitalization and need support returning to classes. 

Support During Difficult Circumstances

Whether you're experiencing a personal, family, financial, housing, health, or other significant challenge, CARES can help you identify resources and next steps. Complete a referral form to speak with a case manager today who can review resources and coordinate appropriate referrals 

Emergency Food and Housing Support

If you're worried about where your next meal is coming from or experiencing a housing emergency, É«ÖÐÉ« CARES can help. We provide support for students facing food insecurity, housing instability, homelessness, or unexpected financial hardships that threaten their basic needs. Our team can connect you to emergency resources, campus and community programs, and personalized support to help you remain safe, stable, and focused on your education. Submit a referral to our basic needs team who can reach out and support you.

Academic Advocacy

When a crisis impacts your ability to attend class, complete assignments, or meet academic expectations, we can help communicate with campus partners and explore available options. You can use our virtual drop-in hours to consult with us or submit a referral to a case manager.

Fall/Spring Drop-In Office Hours with Staff

  • Monday: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 11:00am-12:00pm
  • Wednesday: 1:30pm - 2:30pm
  • Thursday: 10:00am - 11:00am
