Group Counseling

For many students, group counseling can be an ideal choice for addressing concerns and making positive change. Group counseling provides a unique opportunity for students to come together in a safe and supportive environment that promotes mental and emotional wellness. CAPS offers an array of group counseling options including interpersonal process groups, skill-building groups, and affinity groups.

Grieving with Grace 

For students who have experienced the recent or past death of a loved one and are seeking ways to cope with the grief/loss process.

Moving Between Worlds: A Support Group for Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American Womxn

A supportive space for womxn to connect with others in exploring cultural influences on their identities, family dynamics, peer relationships, career, and personal choices.

Understanding Self and Others 

In a safe and energizing group of peers, learn more about yourself and work on interpersonal goals to help you have more effective and more intimate relationships with others.

Anxiety Toolbox: Understand Anxiety Symptoms and Build Skills to Manage Anxiety

This 3-week workshop is designed to help you enhance your understanding of anxiety as well as develop new strategies to better recognize and manage symptoms you may be experiencing.

  • Thursdays, 11:00 am-12:00 pm
  • Facilitated by Diane Hayashino, Ph.D
  • Meeting Dates:

Healthy Relationships

This 3-week workshop is focused on strategies to improve success in interpersonal relationship. Participants will learn critical skills for achieving relational health, including healthy communication and boundary setting.

Mood Masters 

This 3-week workshop is for students who want to learn and practice new strategies for managing overwhelming emotions. Each week’s content will build upon the previous week, introducing effective skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and mindfulness.
