All workshops are online unless stated otherwise. Please note that all workshops require registration using your campus email address. After registering, you will receive an automated email confirming your registration and the Zoom link/room ID.

- The UWC does not provide recordings of workshops.

Revision Strategies (3/20)
DESCRIPTION:
The Revision Strategies Workshop will help you decide what aspects to focus on when revising your papers -- learn what to prioritize and what not to -- and how to make appropriate revisions.

Proofreading (3/27)
DESCRIPTION:
The Proofreading Workshop will provide strategies to proofread and edit your papers at the sentence level. Some common errors that will be reviewed include boundary errors (e.g. fragments, comma splices, run-ons), agreement errors (e.g. subject-verb agreement and pronoun-antecedent agreement), coordination, and subordination. After this workshop, you will feel less intimidated working on grammar issues.

Scholarship Writing (Closed)
DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will review the process for applying to BEACH scholarships and how to find outside scholarship opportunities. The topics discussed include:
- Application dates/deadlines and a general application guideline overview
- Review question and prompt examples
- And how to find other scholarship opportunities

Citation Series - MLA & APA (4/17)
DESCRIPTION:
The UWC offers online Citation Workshops for APA and MLA writing styles and formats. These workshops provide an overview of the format, in-text and reference page citations, and other writing tips. They are recommended for anyone who needs a refresher or is new to either writing format.

Writing in the Sciences (3/6 & 4/26)
DESCRIPTION:
This workshop is for STEM majors and soon-to-be STEM majors or students taking a science writing course! This workshop will review the basic structure of a scientific paper (e.g. abstracts, introduction, methods...), formatting data and visuals, discuss passive vs active voice, give research tips, and more!
