Biology Professor Ted Stankowich utilized 3D printing to give his students a hands-on anatomy lesson in assembling a replicated humpback whale skeleton. The 13-foot model is suspended from the ceiling of the Mammal Lab. These types of collaboration foster a sense of community and achievement for CNSM students.

The California Resources Corporation and CNSM have teamed up to create the Urban Coast Fund and support research into protecting our local coastline.

More than 2,700 people visited Cal State Long Beach on July 20 for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics annual open house. The community event showcased the college's research and achievements while engaging children in educational activities.
